Water, the elixir of life, holds paramount importance in our industry. In an industry where water is essential for solar module cleaning, we’ve made it our priority to conserve this precious resource. Through thoughtful decisions, we currently save 67 million litres annually. Our portfolio proudly boasts a 100% water-positive certification, validated by TUV Nord. By optimising water usage, we contribute to a healthier planet.

Preserving biodiversity and increasing green cover

Being a trusted renewable energy solutions company, Susten understands the importance of biodiversity. To preserve the natural ecosystems around our projects, we actively map the local flora and fauna. Our operational sites are not just about energy production; they’re also havens for biodiversity. We’ve planted over 98,000 trees, creating lush green spaces that support local ecosystems. These trees absorb carbon dioxide, enhance air quality, and provide habitats for countless species.

Waste management: Upcycling for a circular economy

Waste isn’t a burden; it’s an opportunity. Sustainable waste management is another pillar of our 'Planet Positive' initiative. Through robust mechanisms and a commitment to the principles of a circular economy, we're diverting landfill-bound waste and promoting recycling on a massive scale.

To date, we've refurbished over 4,000 modules and upcycled more than 25 tons of scrap, further reducing our environmental footprint and contributing to a cleaner, greener future.

But perhaps our most ambitious goal yet is our transition towards Net Zero emissions. With energy saving initiatives yielding a 20-30% year-on-year reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, we’re making significant strides towards this target. Aligned with our group’s commitment to reach Net Zero by 2040, we’re not just reducing our carbon footprint, we’re setting a precedent for sustainable business practices in the renewable power solutions sector.
